The MLB season is long.

Teams play 162 games over a span of five months with an additional two months of Spring Training on top of that. That's not to mention all of the different travel that occurs during those months too.

Players are inevitably going to miss time due to injury or simply just to rest.

The Cleveland Guardians were no stranger to having players out for significant time during the 2023 season, but they did have a couple of ironmen on the roster too. Someone who is in the lineup just about every day.

That's Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez.

Kwan only missed four games throughout the entirety of the 2023 season. The games played were the most on the Guardians he was one of nine players in the American League to play 158 games or more during the 2023 season.

This is nothing new for Kwan either. He played 147 games during the 2022 season, the fourth most on the team that year. His 305 games played are the most by a Cleveland player through their first two seasons in club history.

Ramirez's stretch of games played has been just as impressive as Kwans. J-Ram has played 150 games or more each of the last three seasons and 58 (out of 60) games in 2020.

He currently ranks 15th (1293) on Cleveland's all-time games list and could find himself in the top 10 sooner rather than later if he keeps this up per season.

Consistency is key for any team to want to find any sort of success. It's a premium to have two players with the talent of Kwan and Ramirez's skills as available as much as they are.
