The Colorado Rockies are three days away from finally being able to wrap up what has been yet another nightmare season.

With three games left on the schedule for the Rockies, they sit at 66-93, 44 games back of first place in the NL West.

When playing at home, they haven’t been great, but have at the very least finished their home slate of games with a winning record, going 41-40.

Obviously, that’s something they could improve upon, but it pales in comparison to what they’ve done on the road.

Away from Coors Field, the Rockies have been absolutely abysmal, going 25-53 in the 78 games played on the road.

They have three remaining road games at Dodger Stadium this week.

Rockies Struggled On The Road In 2022

This is not what you want to see out of your team away from home.

Granted, the Rockies were not expected to be a postseason contender.

But this is quite a shocking mark for their road record.

They won’t even reach 30 wins away from home this year.

In the unlikely event that they win out against the Los Angeles Dodgers, they’ll still only have 28 road wins this year.

When people look back at their season, the main thing they’re going to look at is the fact that they could not win away from home.

Their road record makes their home record look quite good when you compare the two.

That’s not exactly a fair comparison, but a 41-40 record is obviously much better than a 25-53 record.

Ultimately, the 2022 season is one that the Rockies and their fans will be excited to put behind them.

2023 will be the focus soon.

The Rockies 2022 season was a disaster, but as they always say, there’s always next year.
