The Detroit Tigers activated Miguel Cabrera from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles.

Cabrera hasn't played since Sept. 2 due to a left biceps strain.

Cabrera, 39, was in the lineup as the designated hitter and batting fourth on Monday.

Cabrera is batting .256 with four homers and 37 RBIs in 102 games in his 20th year in the majors.

The 12-time All-Star and two-time American League MVP has 506 career homers and 3,079 hits.

Cabrera's many accomplishments in his 15 seasons with the Tigers include winning the 2012 Triple Crown, when he batted .330 with 44 homers and 139 RBIs. He spent his first five seasons (2003-07) with the then-Florida Marlins.

In a corresponding move, the Tigers optioned infielder Kody Clemens to Triple-A Toledo. He batted .150 with four homers and 13 RBIs in 50 games with Detroit.

Clemens is the son of seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens.
