Teammates hold back Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

MLB News: Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox is currently the talk of baseball.  A massive fight between Anderson and Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez has been all over the media, and a few days afterward the ripple effects are starting to come to the surface.

Now, a source has indicated that a former Milwaukee Brewers player was involved in an altercation with Tim Anderson right before the All-Star break.

Former Milwaukee Brewers catcher Yasmani Grandal slapped Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson one month ago (MLB News).

According to Shane Riordan of 670 The Score, Yasmani Grandal and Tim Anderson were involved in an altercation prior to the All-Star break.  Grandal was not in the lineup and wanted to leave early to catch a flight.  In the words of Riordan, with slight paraphrasing, Anderson responded with ” ‘F*** him. If he doesn’t want to be here, I’ll pay for his flight.”  Following this comment, Grandal then walked across to Anderson, who was in the tub, and slapped him across the face.

It will be interesting to see if either player comments on the altercation and if any more White Sox stories come to the surface.
