Trea Turner sure seems excited about his new teammate. Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers made an eyebrow-raising signing on Wednesday, and one of their top players seems pretty happy about it.

Trea Turner reacted on Twitter to the news that his Dodgers had signed Freddie Freeman to a six-year, $162 million deal. He shared three eyeball emojis:

Yep, Turner definitely saw what his team is doing.

Turner was acquired by the Dodgers prior to last year’s trade deadline along with Max Scherzer. He played in only 52 games with his new team but crushed the ball, batting .338 with a .950 OPS.

Turner will be one of the big parts of a loaded Dodgers lineup. In addition to Trea and Freeman, the Dodgers will have Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, Justin Turner, Cody Bellinger, Chris Taylor, AJ Pollock and Will Smith.

Including pitcher Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers will now have four former MVPs on their team. (Freeman, Betts and Bellinger are the others.)

Turner must be pretty thrilled he got traded to the Dodgers. At least he knows they are going to spend to build as competitive of a team as possible. What more could you want?
