Seattle Mariners star first baseman Ty France was one of many deserving players who ultimately got snubbed in All-Star voting.

France was not selected to be a part of the American League All-Star Game roster, which comes as quite a surprise, given his stats at the moment.

The 27-year-old slugger is hitting for a .306 batting average with 10 home runs, 45 RBI, and a solid OPS of .839.

He has been a key factor in Seattle’s recent turnaround.

France commented on being snubbed, saying that it is what it is, but he felt like he earned a spot on the roster.

Mariners insider Daniel Kramer tweeted France’s response.

France Gets Cold Shoulder

It’s hard to imagine why France is not an All-Star this season.

When you look at his stats, you would think that he definitely earned a chance to at least be considered for the All-Star Game.

Of course, as France alluded to, that’s nothing to take away from all the players who ended up making the All-Star roster, but at the same time, one would think France should have been added to the roster, especially when looking at the numbers that he’s putting up.

The Mariners have come from out of nowhere to find themselves back in contention.

They were mired in fourth place not too long ago, but thanks in large part to France, they now find themselves tied to the final AL Wild Card spot.

France certainly earned a chance to be on the roster.

Of course, not everything is set in stone yet, and he still could be added as a late addition to the roster, but for now, France has been snubbed and isn’t a part of the roster.
