Dodgers fans haven't seen reliever Victor Gonzalez in what feels like forever. His last appearance for LA was back on August 22, 2021. Since then he's been battling through a myriad of injuries and issues including May 2022 elbow cleanup surgery.

While he's been out of the spotlight, he has been putting work in the weight room. Technically more in the cardio room, but that's not a thing.

Victor posted on his Instagram recently showing off just how much thinner he is than during his dominant 2020 season with the Dodgers.

Victor's description translates to, "Dedication, Discipline and Nurturing!!!"

He's lost somewhere in the ballpark of 30 pounds. The 27-year-old has shown off his journey on his IG page which includes early morning jogs and workouts with his trainer Raul Rico.

It's a great sight to see Gonzalez taking control of his health and nutrition and fans are sure to hope it all translates to getting him back on the field for the Dodgers.

He pitched briefly late last season and was even in conversations to potentially return to the active roster but the team opted to keep him down at Triple-A. And that's where he's at to open this season. Victor didn't have a great spring training with LA but he stayed healthy, and that's what's most important.

If he pitches well and can return to his 2020 or even early 2021 form, he'll have a spot in the Dodger bullpen. But for now, he's back to proving himself once again.
