It’s been a year to remember for the Philadelphia Phillies.

At the beginning of the year, the Phillies appeared to have a solid team that could make some noise.

But they started off 22-29 and were forced to ultimately fire their manager in Joe Girardi.

In stepped Rob Thomson, who completely turned the team around and got them back on the right path.

From there, the Phillies went 65-46 and earned the third NL Wild Card.

Then they managed to run right through the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, and San Diego Padres to reach their first World Series in 13 years.

On Twitter, MLB Network posted a spine-tingling highlight video of the Phils’ 2022 season to show just how epic their run has been thus far.

The Phillies’ Magical Run

Can you feel the goosebumps, Phillies fans?

This year has been full of excitement, underdog stories, and improbable postseason runs.

After 11 years away from the postseason, the Phillies returned in style after making it in by the skin of their teeth.

They have only lost twice the entire postseason and have yet to even play one elimination game.

And this is after they clinched the third NL Wild Card, a spot which did not exist last season.

With the playoff format from last season, the Phillies would not have reached October.

But as that third NL Wild Card team, they have been playing like they belong in October.

The Phillies have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with as the World Series draws nearer.
