Watch: Dodgers' Mookie Betts lives out dream by playing surprising position

Mookie Betts has accomplished a lot as a Major League Baseball player, but on Thursday night he got to live out a dream by doing something he had never done before.

He got to play shortstop in a Major League game.

Not only that, he looked pretty good doing so.

Betts entered the Dodgers' 6-2 win over the Chicago Cubs as a pinch hitter, and then remained in the game to play shortstop the rest of the way. The highlight of the night was this smooth double play that he turned.

Like he has been doing it for years!

Betts has played some middle infield in the majors, but always at second base. That was his first attempt at shortstop, and after the game he called it "a dream come true" to be able to do that.

The last time Betts actually played shortstop in a game was all the way back in 2013 when he was still in the minor leagues.

It became a possibility this season after the Dodgers had to place Miguel Rojas on the injured list. Manager Dave Roberts said that he feels he can play Betts anywhere on the diamond and that he looks natural doing it.

Along with playing shortstop and turning a double play, Betts also added a single at the plate in the Dodgers win.
