Watch: Dodgers reporter David Vassegh suffers wrist fractures, cracked ribs while going down Brewers slide

The Los Angeles Dodgers improved to 81-35 on the season via Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field and hold the best overall record in all of MLB.

However, not everybody associated with the Dodgers is having such a pleasant midweek.

As noted by Juan Toribio of the league's website and Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post, Spectrum SportsNet Dodgers reporter David Vassegh was invited to travel down Milwaukee's famous "Bernie's Chalet" slide used by the Brewers' mascot during home games. Vassegh successfully completed a first journey down the slide, but his second did not go as planned:

"Holy crap," Vassegh yelled out multiple times before he crashed into a wall and inadvertently turned himself into somewhat of a meme:

Vassegh's injuries certainly are no laughing matter, as he is now dealing with two fractures in his right wrist to go along with six cracked ribs. Nevertheless, he worked Wednesday's contest and didn't require a stint on the injured list.

"That one was for you," Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes told Vassegh shortly after the victory. "I know you had a little accident today on the slide. We all rallied today for you."

Barnes also gave Vassegh a shoutout while speaking with media members.

"This game was for Vassegh," he said. "He was hurting tonight."

As for Vassegh, he's now able to joke about the matter via Twitter:
