Watch: Mets' Starling Marte steals home in 7-2 win over Phillies

The New York Mets kicked off an important road series with the Philadelphia Phillies with a 7-2 win on Friday night.

Mets' outfielder Starling Marte scored two of New York's seven runs on Friday night, including a steal of home in the fifth inning.

With the Mets up 4-0 in the fifth and runners on the corners, Marte and shortstop Francisco Lindor pulled off a double steal of second and home.

For Marte and Lindor, this isn't the first time they've successfully pulled off a steal of home and second this season. The duo fooled the Chicago Cubs with the same thievery just over a month ago.

The Phillies' struggles against the Mets continue as they look to gain ground in the NL East. Philadelphia is just 4-12 against their New York rivals this season.

Meanwhile, the Mets (77-43) remain atop the division standings, leading the second-place Atlanta Braves (74-47) by 3.5 games while holding an 11-game advantage over the Phils'.

The Phillies (65-53) still occupy the second wildcard spot in the NL, leading the San Diego Padres by a half-game.
