Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Braves Spring Training is well underway, and I had the pleasure of traveling down to North Port for a few days to take in the environment at CoolToday Park. One of the best things that I came away with was this live bullpen session between Ronald Acuna Jr. and Max Fried — Atlanta’s best-on-best:

If you listen closely, after Fried’s first pitch, which seemed to be a nasty curveball that froze Acuna, the reigning MVP responded with: “Good pitch.”

The Braves ace got the best of Acuna during this one, but there were plenty of other moments where the Venezuelan superstar took advantage of Atlanta’s pitchers.

Braves Spring Training isn’t over, but I took away a lot from it, so there’s plenty more to come.

Be sure to check out SportsTalkATL’s YouTube for all our content from North Port, including this video where Fox 5’s Miles Garrett and I break down the Braves’ starting pitching depth.
