Watch: Twins SS Carlos Correa smashes helmet in disgust after line-out

Struggling with his team on the brink of elimination, Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa let his frustrations boil over late in Game 3 of the American League Division Series vs. his old club, the Houston Astros.

With the Twins trailing the Astros 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Correa smashed a 108.5 mph line-out straight to his replacement at short, Jeremy Pena. Afterward, Correa lost his cool in the Twins dugout, smashing his batting helmet to bits on the bench.

Correa's actions are understandable. After going 5-of-8 with three RBI in the first two games of the ALDS, Correa cooled off significantly, going only 1-of-7 at the plate with two strikeouts in Game 3 and Game 4 combined.

Houston's one-run lead on Wednesday would hold up, knocking the Twins out of the postseason. The Astros now return to the American League Championship Series, where they'll take on the Texas Rangers.
