The Toronto Blue Jays couldn’t do anything against Tyler Skaggs and other pitchers the Los Angeles Angeles brought to the bump Tuesday evening.

Toronto recorded just three hits and one run in the 3-1 loss, wasting a solid effort from Marcus Stroman in the process.

Potential AL Rookie of the Year Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 0-for-4 batting from the second spot. That included a line out to center off Angels closer Hansel Robles to end the game.

This isn’t really the story here. Rather, it’s the tactics Robles used before serving up a pitch in the at-bat that had Vlad pretty upset.

It’s rather clear that Robles was attempting to throw off Guerrero‘s timing with the delivery. It ultimately worked later in the at-bat.

There’s no unwritten rule here. Robles did not balk. He has a strange delivery in the first place.

Even then, Vlad’s frustration is understandable. He’ll just have to do a better job of channeling it.
