Watch: Yankees broadcast has fun with 'Burger-King' matchup

There was a whopper of a matchup in the top of the seventh inning of Thursday afternoon's New York Yankees-Chicago White Sox game.

That is when Yankees pitcher Michael King took the mound against White Sox designated hitter Jake Burger. The result of that was a scorebug graphic in the top of the screen that highlighted the fact it was a Burger-King matchup.

The Yankees broadcast team led by Michael Kay was not going to let this opportunity pass by without making several puns relating to the matchup.

This was the first time that Burger and King ever faced each other in a major league game. In the end, it was King who had it his way by getting Burger to ground out to third base to end the inning.

Unfortunately for the Yankees, that out only happened after King surrendered a two-run home run to Eloy Jimenez to give the White Sox a 6-5 lead.

That home run proved to be the difference in the game with King taking the loss. King finished the day by throwing two innings in relief and allowing two runs. Burger went 2-for-4 with a home run of his own and a double in the win. The White Sox hit four home runs for the game.
