Guess who’s gearing back up for a return for Chicago White Sox? If you guessed Jake Burger, you were right! Well, it’s in the title so that’s probably how you knew the answer to the question. Burger will begin a rehab assignment Wednesday with the Charlotte Knights.

Burger last appeared in a White Sox game on July 5. He then landed on the injured list due to a bone bruise in his right hand on July 6. Burger was supposed to start a rehab assignment on July 15 with Triple-A Charlotte, but an illness postponed that stint. It seems he is now ready to go and get some reps in as he works his way back to the big-league club.

The former first-round pick has found some success at the plate this season with the Chicago White Sox. In 51 games , Jake Burger is slashing .250/.302/.458 with eight home runs and 26 RBIs across 183 plate appearances.
