The Chicago White Sox are set to place third baseman Yoan Moncada on the 10-day injured list with an ailing back, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday.

Moncada also had an IL stint from April 10 to May 12 with what was called a protruding disc.

In a corresponding move, the White Sox are calling up infielder Zach Remillard from Triple-A Charlotte. The White Sox have vacancies on the 40-man roster to accommodate Remillard.

Moncada, 28, is batting .232 with three home runs, 13 RBIs and 17 runs in just 38 games (35 starts). Moncada didn't play Wednesday night.

Remillard's first appearance would mark his major league debut. He's batting .236 with five homers and 25 RBIs in 59 games at Charlotte this season.
