The Blue Jays 2023 season was certainly not the strongest. But the Blue Jays and their fans want to rebound from last season. Some believe that this season won’t change from last. While only time will tell, the Blue Jays certainly have a good chance to make the Wild Card again, and if they do, they can forget about the sweep against the Minnesota Twins last season. The acquisition of slugger Justin Turner will improve the RISP issue they’ve dealt with for some time. Also, the Blue Jays will have a full season with Ernie Clement and Davis Schneider playing.

The Reasons the Blue Jays Will Bounce Back From 2023

Improvement Signs

While Spring Training doesn’t count, and the regular season is a whole new ballpark, we saw some positive things about the Blue Jays. They improved with RISP, and Justin Turner showcased dynamic duo bonds with Bo Bichette. We also saw good offense and hustle from Alejandro Kirk, Daniel Vogelbach, and Daulton Varsho. Many have high hopes that both will have a bounce-back year, and it certainly appears they will. Both look ready to have a great season with the Blue Jays. Varsho and Kirk avoided arbitration in the offseason; many want the best for them and the Blue Jays squad.

Varsho has changed his approach at the plate, which evidently helped during Spring Training. It can sting when you’re projected to do so well,, and things don’t turn out. But you move forward from adversity when it comes to baseball. It will also be exciting to see Clement and Schneider play this season, as both played very well last season. They both worked hard, including Vogelbach, to earn a spot on the bench for Opening Day. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. wants a bounce-back season, as it took him months to hit a home run at home last season.

Blue Jays 2024 Possible Outcome

A bounce-back season for the Blue Jays would be astronomically huge. The Blue Jays could have picked up possibly one more big-name player aside from Turner. But they have solid pitching in the starting rotation and the pen. Many saw what they liked in Spring Training from many of the Blue Jays players. This could be the year when many Blue Jays players have a bounce-back season. Varsho is projected to steal 20 bases this season. Varsho stole three bases in a Spring Training game, which was refreshing to watch. We could see them bounce back if everything can come together consistently for the Blue Jays in the regular season.
