Haley Cavinder is returning to college basketball.

The Cavinder Twins (Haley and Hanna) were revealed as part of the inaugural WWE NIL class in 2021. In April 2023, they announced that they were forgoing their fifth year of NCAA eligibility. The twins teased the beginning of a new chapter and later appeared on the June 6 episode of WWE NXT.

In a post on Instagram, Haley Cavinder announced that she will return to college basketball for the 2024 season. Per Pete Nakos of On3, Cavinder’s agent Jeff Hoffman of Everett Sports Management stated that Haley, a point guard, will transfer so she will be eligible to play in the 2024 season. Hoffman noted that she misses basketball more than anything. Haley has entered the transfer portal, and she will spend the next few months evaluating her options.

The report notes that Miami is “100% on the table.” Haley previously helped lead Miami to the Elite Eight.

The report did not offer an update on Hanna Cavinder’s status.

Hanna and Haley starred for Miami after they departed from Fresno State and entered the transfer portal in spring 2022. NCAA hit Miami with a recruiting violation regarding the Cavinders.

Haley Cavinder’s Future With NIL

According to Hoffman, Haley Cavinder’s future in the NIL space is their business. He stated that any decision will be made with her sister.

“Yep, that’s their business,” Hoffman said. “Cavinder Twins LLC. I think it makes them even more interesting. As NIL continues to see more revenue and brands adopt that as part of their marketing and media mix. Haley can present opportunities and then on the truly professional entrepreneurial side, Hannah could do some things that Haley couldn’t do. Their business, they’re in a partnership together, so they’ll make decisions together on what brands they partner with or take equity in.”

Hanna and Haley have been success stories as NIL athletes, as they have already signed with  Raising Cane’s, Victoria’s Secret PINK and Champs Sports.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Haley or Hanna Cavinder will return to WWE. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
