Yankees might move game from Amazon Prime to YES Network amid Judge's record chase

The Yankees and Amazon are working together to see if Friday's game between the Yankees and Orioles can be broadcasted on the YES Network rather than exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, according to a New York Post report

The talks come as fans tune in to see Aaron Judge pursue Roger Maris' American League record of 61 home runs in a season. Entering Wednesday, Judge is still sitting on 60 home runs. With a day off for the Yankees on Thursday, he'll likely go into Friday night's game still pursuing the record in some form.

The Yankees found themselves in a similar situation last week, when a Friday night game was broadcasted exclusively on Apple TV with Judge one home run away from tying Maris' record.

At the heart of the situation was Yankees play-by-play broadcaster Michael Kay, whom many wanted to be on the call if Judge tied or broke the record. When Apple TV wouldn't give up the rights to the game, Kay turned down an offer to join the booth for the night.

The New York Post reports the situation is "in flux," and there is a possibility the game is broadcasted on both Amazon Prime Video and the YES Network rather than moved entirely. Unlike last week's Apple TV situation, Kay will call the game regardless.

Unless Judge hits two home runs on Wednesday night in Toronto, he will have a chance to break the record at Yankee Stadium over the weekend.
