The New York Yankees are preparing to make their way down to Steinbrenner Field and their complex in Tampa, Fla., and spring training.

Pitchers and catchers are set to report to the facility on Feb. 15, with the first full-squad workout set for Feb. 20.

The Yankees’ first exhibition game will be at Detroit, on Feb. 24.

The Yankees tweaked their exhibition schedule with the addition of a pair of games south of the border to end spring training.

The Yankees will play a two-game exhibition series against Diablos Rojos del México at Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in Mexico City.

Those games will coincide with the Yankees’ final two games in Florida — Feb. 24 at Pittsburgh and Feb. 25 at home against the New York Mets.

To accommodate this, the Yankees will play in a split-squad format. The team will announce which players will head to Mexico City at a later date.

It’s possible that many of the Yankees’ top players will make the trip to Mexico City, as the Yankees open the regular season in Houston a few days later.
