Zac Gallen, the talented 27-year-old pitcher, is set to start on opening day next week for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they face off against the Dodgers.

Gallen’s performance in the 2022 season was nothing short of spectacular, with a 12-4 record and a remarkable 2.54 ERA. As a result, his odds to win the CY Young award have surged and currently stand at +1110, placing him in the top seven candidates, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

During one memorable stretch of last season, Gallen achieved a remarkable feat of six consecutive shutouts, tying an MLB record set by Don Drysdale. During this stretch of 41 1/3 consecutive shutout innings, Zac recorded .58 WHIP and struck out 46 batters.

If last year was a preview of what he has to offer, then fans are in for a real treat from Zac Gallen in 2023. To kick off the new season, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ star pitcher will be up against the formidable Los Angeles Dodgers in his first game, with Julio Urias taking the mound for the opposition.
