Blue Jays rookie Bo Bichette hits lead-off HR against Clayton Kershaw
Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports

This is not something we see every day. Los Angeles Dodgers ace and three-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw has given up all of 15 homers in 137 innings of work thus far this season.

Batters rarely get a clean hit off the dominating pitcher, especially wide-eyed rookies making their first appearance against him.

That’s until Toronto Blue Jays stud rookie Bo Bichette took to the plate in the first inning against Kershaw at Dodger Stadium Tuesday evening. Like clockwork, the second-generation star nailed a Kershaw pitch deep over the left center field fence for a lead-off homer.

It was just the second pitch that Bichette has ever seen from the future Hall of Famer. Apparently, the youngster is not intimidated by the Los Angeles’ ace.

Bichette, 21, entered Tuesday’s action hitting .333 with five homers, nine RBI and a 1.027 OPS in 20 games this season. Yeah, he’s pretty darn good.
