Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers have remained undefeated eight games into the 2025 MLB season.
After knocking two out of the park in the series against the Detroit Tigers, Freeman suffered a freak accident on March 31st, slipping and falling in his shower at home. Due to a right ankle injury he sustained, Freeman has been placed on the 10-day injured list as of Thursday.
According to True Blue LA's Eric Stephen, the injured list stint was backdated to Monday, meaning the earliest Freeman could be activated is Thursday, April 10.
With Freeman out for the three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies (starting Friday) and the Washington Nationals (Monday), the Dodgers had a roster spot to fill, and they did just that.
In response to Freeman being placed on the injured list, the Dodgers have recalled Triple-A Oklahoma City catcher Hunter Feduccia. Los Angeles announced the news on X.

Feduccia, 27, was drafted by the Dodgers in the 12th round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He has mostly bounced around double-A and triple-A teams but had a brief five-game stint with Los Angeles in 2024. In 12 MLB at-bats last year, Feduccia tallied four hits, two runs and an RBI.
In five appearances for Oklahoma City this year, Feduccia has shown promise, recording five hits, six runs and a homerun in 14 at-bats.
Feduccia now joins the Dodgers' catchers room, which consists of two-time All-Star Will Smith and Austin Barnes.
