A former Milwaukee Brewers spark plug is looking to bring his energy back to the game, this time in a coaching role. Known for his high motor, clubhouse presence, and ability to ignite Milwaukee during his playing days, he’s now seeking an opportunity to transition into a first base/outfield/base running coach type of role.

Former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Keon Broxton is seeking a coaching job

According to David Gasper, Keon Broxton is at MLB’s Winter Meetings in pursuit of a coaching job.  Gasper wrote that he would love a first base/outfield/base running type of role. This makes sense given he was a speedy outfielder, where defense and heads up plays on the bases was how he provided value at the big league level.

Broxton’s appearance at the Winter Meetings is a reminder of how many former players look to channel their on-field experience into coaching roles, and he brings the kind of energy and perspective teams value in a modern staff. Whether as a first base coach, outfield instructor, or baserunning specialist, his skill set aligns well with what several clubs are seeking this offseason. If he lands the right opportunity, Broxton could easily become the same spark in a coaching capacity that he once was on the field.
