FP Santangelo announced he will not be returning to the Nationals broadcasts on MASN for the 2022 season.
Well, there goes my no-hitter.
— F.P. Santangelo (@FightinHydrant) November 3, 2021
As you may have heard, I will not be returning to the MASN broadcast booth to call Nats games next season. I have so many people to thank for this last decade that I hardly know where to begin.

Santangelo had been the color analyst for the Nationals on MASN since 2011. He missed two months last season following an investigation by MLB into sexual misconduct allegations against him. However, he returned after the investigation was deemed inconclusive.
MASN said in a statement they are working with the Nationals to pick a replacement for Santangelo.
Here is what a MASN spokesperson said to The Athletic about Santangelo's departure: "As is well-established in the industry, the broadcasters are selected by the team and MASN is working with the Nats to identify his successor."

Santangelo said this is not a goodbye to DC and he will provide updates soon on his future.
Nationals’ play-by-play announcer Bob Carpenter is returning, according to Britt Ghiroli of The Athletic. Carpenter has two years remaining on his contract with MASN.
This is the second consecutive season, MASN has made changes to the broadcast team. Last season, MASN made a mass overhaul of the pre-game and postgame coverage for both the Nationals and Baltimore Orioles.
