Gabriel Arias had a three-run double in the fourth inning and Jose Ramirez scored twice and had three of Cleveland's five stolen bases, lifting the Guardians to a 5-0 victory over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night.

Arias' two-out drive off Freddy Peralta ticked off the top of the glove of Jackson Chourio, who was playing in shallow center field, plating Ramirez, Carlos Santana and Bo Naylor to put Cleveland ahead 3-0. The Guardians stopped their two-game losing streak.

Ramirez stole second and third base in the fourth, then swiped third in the sixth to move into third place in franchise history with 255 in his 13-year career. The six-time All-Star is the only primary third baseman with 250 homers and 250 steals.

Kyle Manzardo had two hits, including an RBI single in the sixth, and cleanup hitter Santana walked with the bases loaded in the seventh as Cleveland won for the 21st time in its last 32 games.

Guardians starter Ben Lively exited after three innings with a sore right forearm, making several warmup pitches before being replaced by Jakob Junis (1-1). Kolby Allard, Cade Smith and Hunter Gaddis followed in the seven-hitter.

Staff ace Peralta (4-3) allowed a season-high four runs on four hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings. The right-hander struck out four, becoming the fourth Brewers pitcher with 1,000 in his career, joining Yovani Gallardo, Ben Sheets and Teddy Higuera.

Former Cleveland first baseman Jake Bauers singled and doubled and Andruw Monasterio walked twice for Milwaukee, which has lost four of five. The Brewers went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and stranded 11.

Guardians outfielder Angel Martinez took infield reps before the game, working on the finer points of playing shortstop. Brayan Rocchio had been at the spot until being supplanted by Arias and was demoted to Triple-A Columbus earlier in the day.
