Indians welcome Franmil Reyes back to workouts after coronavirus testing

One day after Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona confirmed that Franmil Reyes was being kept away from team activities after the outfielder attended a party without wearing a mask or practicing social-distancing guidelines over the July 4 weekend, the club welcomed him back to Progressive Field.

As noted by the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), Francona confirmed Reyes underwent coronavirus testing before he returned to ballpark facilities. Reyes partook in batting practice sessions on Wednesday, and he's scheduled to speak with the media on Thursday.

Indians fans will be happy to know Reyes hit some bombs in BP.

Fellow Cleveland outfielder Delino DeShields Jr. is traveling to Northeast Ohio after he tested both positive and negative for the coronavirus. DeShields must produce a second negative result before he's allowed to enter spring training 2.0 workouts.
