Report: Nationals to make one final offer to Juan Soto

With four days left until the MLB trade deadline, arguably the biggest question remains in the nation's capital. Where will Washington Nationals superstar Juan Soto get traded?

As the weekend approaches, MLB insider Hector Gomez provided a sliver of hope for Nats fans hoping for the two-time All-Star to defy the odds and stick around with the last-place club.

On Wednesday, Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said the team was talking with "several teams" regarding the availability of Soto. It was reported Thursday that rival executives currently see the San Diego Padres as the frontrunner to land the Home Run Derby champion.

In 97 games this year, Soto has collected 20 home runs, 45 RBI and a league-leading 84 walks, while recording a .243/.400/.480 slash line.
