Watch: Dodgers dominate Brewers to tie weekend series

After the Dodgers came up empty in the first inning, the Brewers wasted no time getting on the board first. Brice Turang hit a one-run double to get started before Andrew Vaughn got home thanks to an error by Dodgers starter Roki Sasaki.

Milwaukee scored their third and final run of the opening inning on a one-run single by Sam Frelick.

In the second and third innings, both sides struggled to get on base at all. That was the case until the fourth inning, when the Dodgers finally came alive at the plate.

Andy Pages got it going first with a one-run line-drive double, but the biggest moment of the game was right around the corner.

A few batters later, Teoscar Hernandez slammed a three-run 357′ homer to crack the game open and take a 4-3 lead.

Neither side had phenomenal nights in terms of pitching, but solid fielding both both squads kept the game quiet until the top of the eighth inning.

That’s when Will Smith hit a line drive to center field, recording an RBI double to push the lead to 5-3. Things only opened up further for the Dodgers at that point.

Hernandez sent another runner home with a single before Miguel Rojas made it a 7-3 game with an RBI bunt.

After the Brewers came up empty in the eighth, Hernandez kept his hit streak going for L.A. with a two-run RBI double, making it a 9-3 game.

As Brewers pitcher Jake Woodford struggled to find the strike zone consistently, the Dodgers racked up hit after hit in the ninth.

By the time they took the plate in the bottom of the inning they were down 11-3. They failed to get anything going with one last chance at the plate.

The series tiebreaker is set for Sunday at 2:10 p.m. EST.
