Juan Soto hammers home run to tie Game 1 of World Series
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Down 2-1 in the top of the fourth inning in Game 1 of the World Series, Washington Nationals phenom Juan Soto blasted a home run to left field.

Hitting every bit of this pitch off Gerrit Cole, Soto hammered this home run to the opposite field, blasting it onto the train tracks at Minute Maid Park.

Folks, that’s some absurd power to tie the game up. It also represented the second solo home run allowed by Cole, who has otherwise been outstanding in Game 1. The last time Cole allowed two homers in a game was way back on August 7th, which shows how dominant he has been down the stretch and into the postseason.
