Watch: Stephen Strasburg ejected from stands for arguing balls and strikes

Even the reigning World Series Most Valuable Player has to follow rules about not arguing balls and strikes.

Washington Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg was watching Thursday's game versus the New York Mets in the Citi Field stands to maintain social distance ahead of a Friday start versus the Baltimore Orioles when he challenged Carlos Torres' strike zone after Washington pitcher Austin Voth failed to get a third-strike call in the bottom of the third.

Torres heard Strasburg and responded by ejecting the 32-year-old. As Strasburg made the journey from his seat, somebody dropped an f-bomb directed toward the umpire (Warning: Video contains inappropriate language):

The SNY Mets television crew apologized for the colorful language.

Strasburg dealt with a nerve issue in his right hand through the end of July and only made his regular-season debut last Sunday versus Baltimore. He threw 69 pitches and lasted 4.1 innings.
