The scheduled Saturday matchup between the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards has been postponed because of continued rain and poor field conditions after both teams played through steady precipitation during Friday’s game.

The contest, originally set for a 4:05 p.m. ET first pitch, will now be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday. First game is scheduled for 12:35 p.m. ET, while the second game will begin at 6:05 p.m. ET. Gates for the opener will open at 11:30 a.m., and gates for the night game will open at 5 p.m. Separate tickets are required for each matchup.

Tickets from Saturday’s postponed game will automatically transfer to Sunday’s 6:05 p.m. game, which will also feature the SAMUEL BASALLO bobblehead giveaway for the first 15,000 fans. Fans holding tickets for the originally scheduled Sunday afternoon game will have those tickets honored for the adjusted 12:35 p.m. start time. Baltimore also announced that Pregame Kids Autographs and the postgame Kids Run The Bases promotion were canceled because of the schedule change.

Saturday’s pitching matchup was expected to feature Detroit left-hander Framber Valdez against Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. Valdez entered the game with a 2-3 record, 4.58 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts over 55 innings in 2026. Young owned a 3-1 record with a 4.25 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings while allowing two earned runs in each of his previous two starts.

The Tigers updated pitching plan for Sunday remains uncertain, though right-hander Troy Melton is expected to return from right elbow inflammation after completing four rehab starts, including one with Triple-A Toledo.
