BKFC says Paige VanZant isn’t done fighting for the promotion

Although Paige VanZant hasn’t fought for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in nearly two years, the company’s president David Feldman believes that the social media star has at least one more fight in her.

No details have been set in stone just yet, but Feldman confirmed to MMA Fighting that there have been preliminary discussions about VanZant’s next BKFC fight.

“I actually questioned (if she was done fighting) myself, but she had a conversation with a couple of the guys on the team and I don’t think that she’s moved on,” Feldman said. “I think she wants one more crack at it. I know that I want to give her one more crack at it, so I think we’re going to have at least one more run there.”

VanZant’s last fight was supposed to be against Charisa Sigala in Aug. 2022, but the bout was canceled days before it was scheduled. The 29-year-old VanZant is 0-2 in BKFC with unanimous decision losses to Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich, both in 2021. VanZant actually beat Ostovich via second-round armbar in the UFC two years prior.

VanZant was active in the fight scene from 2012 until 2021. Since her last BKFC bout in July 2021, she’s since turned her attention to monetizing her social media presence, which includes her fan site, Paigefanzant.com, an OnlyFans page and her personal Instagram and TikTok accounts.

Despite claims that she’s making enough money from her online ventures to retire right now if she wanted, Feldman believes that VanZant still has an itch to fight, and he’s more than happy to reap the rewards of promoting one of the sport’s most popular stars.

“I take my hat off to her,” Feldman continued. “Whatever she’s doing outside the ring, that’s on her own and let her do whatever she’s doing to make that kind of money she’s making, but as far as being a fighter, she keeps wanting to challenge herself and how can you not respect that.”
