It’s been a long road back for UFC fighter Cat Zingano, who hasn’t fought in nearly 20 months. She’s gone through hell, losing her husband back in 2014 — a devastating event that she admitted recently still deeply affects her.

Zingano is about to make her presence felt in a big way again, however, at UFC 222, where she’ll be fighting Ketlen Vieira from Brazil, who comes in with a perfect 9-0 record.

Ahead of her big fight, Zingano posted a picture of herself on Instagram with the caption, “Strong. Motivated. Focused. Mean. Ready,” and she 100 percent embodies all those qualities.

Because she’s been out of the game for so long, Zingano doesn’t currently register on our SNIPdaily UFC Top 100 list. That’s likely to change soon, however, if she can register a big win on Saturday, March 3 at UFC 222 in Las Vegas.

Based on the fierce look in her eyes, we’re not betting against Cat in this one.
