Even though he is part of WWE again, CM Punk would be open to a UFC return despite getting obliterated in his two previous fights.

CM Punk Open To UFC Return Despite Being Embarrassed In Previous Fights

CM Punk found major success in pro wrestling. When he originally left the business a decade ago, some were shocked and others saw it coming.

There is no doubt Punk was tired and frustrated with WWE. It seemed WWE tried to have him return, but eventually released him as the relationship turned toxic.

Punk would eventually find himself joining the UFC. For someone with zero experience in any form of combat sports, his odds in MMA did not look great.

Also, when you debut for the UFC, the competition is far from amateur. Therefore his two outings were bad.

His debut was at UFC 203, where he lost via submission to Mickey Gall. In quick fashion, Gall wrestled Punk to the ground before making him tap.

At UFC 225, Punk lost via unanimous decision with all judges scoring it 30-26 for Mike Jackson. That fight could have ended in round one, but Jackson decided to play games inside the Octagon.

Later, the loss to Jackson was overturned as he tested positive for marijuana. Still, Punk never stood a chance inside the cage.

That marked the end of his UFC career

While speaking to Sportsnet, Punk was happy he took the chance and would do it again.

“You never say never,” said Punk. “Who thought I would’ve ever fought in the UFC? I was afforded an opportunity by Lorenzo [Fertitta] and Dana [White], and I would be kicking myself to this day if I said no.”

“I’m not a guy who lives with regret. I will seize opportunities whether people believe I deserve the opportunities or not. I work hard for my dreams, and I will always chase them.

“Also, I think a lot of clouds parted, and time heals all wounds, so when it came back to wrestling, it was the right time.”

Since rejoining WWE in late 2023, he wrestled twice. He tore his tricep at the Royal Rumble and will be out six to eight months

So, nobody wants to see CM Punk make a UFC return, right?
