Max Holloway dominated Chan Sung Jung to defeat him via brutal knockout in round three.

The fight began with Holloway predictably fighting long, looking to avoid the power of The Korean Zombie, punishing him to the body and countering well. He utilised Zombie’s overswing and poor defence to sting his opponent. Constantly going to the body to bring the hands down of Zombie opened him up to big head shots.

The second round saw Blessed drop Jung with a big right hand and lock in an anaconda choke. Many, including the Hawaiian thought that this could be the end of the fight, however, the grit and determination of the former two-time title challenger kept him in the fight.

Round three opened up with Zombie seemingly emptying the tank, wildly swinging and catching Holloway. It was the sharpshooting and timing of the former champion that got it done, however. A brutal right hook saw Zombie crumble, face down on the UFC canvas.

The finish marked Holloway’s first finish inside the distance since his domination of Brian Ortega back in 2018. Massive respect was shown between the two men post-fight and understandably, Holloway dedicated the win to Hawaiian people and highlight the issues that are currently going on.

After the fight, as we predicted, The Korean Zombie hung up the gloves are retired from the sport after a legendary career.

What’s next for Max Holloway? We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s exciting for sure.
