Kevin Holland’s next fight has been announced and as always fight fans will not have to wait for much longer to see him back inside the Octagon. Coming off of a sensational performance at UFC 291 which saw him pick up a first round submission victory over Michael Chiesa, Kevin Holland will be making a return at the Noche UFC card which is set to take place on September 16th. His opponent will be current hot prospect in the welterweight division, Jack Della Maddalena,  who has taken the UFC by storm since joining in 2021 and has gone 5-0 in his time with the promotion.

Kevin Holland Keeps Busy Schedule with September Return

Holland has developed a reputation for fighting consistently throughout his UFC career and he appears to continuing that emphatic pace. Since making his debut back in 2018, Holland has fought a staggering 19 times in the organization and the matchup against Maddalena will mark his 20th fight in the promotion in just 5 years. It will also mark the 3rd contest for “Trailblazer” this year.

Formerly competing at middleweight, Holland dropped down to the 170-bs. division last year and has gone 4-1 in that time. Looking like a genuine contender at his new weight class, the 30-year-old will be hoping a win can boost him substantially closer to a title shot and get him back into the upper echelons of the division after being outclassed by Stephen Thompson in his last attempt to take on a highly ranked opponent.

The bout with Maddalena was made on short notice with the original co-main event between Shavkat Rakmonov and Kelvin Gastelum scrapped due to an injury suffered by Gastelum.

Holland will be hoping to continue the impressive run of form that he has been enjoying down at 170-lbs., while Maddalena will be aiming to secure the biggest win of his career and truly announce his presence in the UFC. A certain fight of the night contender, fight fans will not want to miss this one.
