Pro wrestling fans are insufferable complainers. “Stop watching me and take up bowling, because you never like anything we give you,” grappler Chris Jericho ranted after one highly-criticized match at Wrestlemania.

When it comes to former UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, WWE-heads are off to a flying (moon-saulting) start. Though expected to join the company soon, Rousey has not signed a contract to perform for Vince McMahon yet … and pundits are already grousing about how she’ll be booked.

Erik Beaston of Bleacher Report writes that if Rousey doesn’t go over (win) at the Royal Rumble, the entire project might as well be scrapped. “Ronda Rousey’s potential involvement in the Royal Rumble is interesting in that, if there are no plans for her to win, there is no reason for her to even be in it,” sulks Beaston in an example of “pout prep,” where a wrestling blogger sets the table for some A-grade complaining later on.

For her part, Rousey seems excited and unaware that her every move (excuse the pun) is about to be excoriated:

Rousey met with Vince McMahon’s son-in-law Paul Levesque, known to WWE fans as “Triple H,” on Tuesday night. The Royal Rumble, the company’s annual battle-royal, will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on January 28th.
