Brazil are currently cruising to victory over South Korea in their World Cup Round of 16 tie, winning 4-1 after a scintillating first half display when all their goals came.

Thiago Silva already set one record in Brazil’s opening World Cup game when made it 12 World Cup games without being dribbled past and tonight against South Korea he made more history, becoming the oldest player to ever provide an assist at a World Cup, at the age of 38 years and 74 days.

For the goal, Silva found himself a bit further forward than he’s used to as he positioned himself on the edge of the penalty area, receiving a pass from Lucas Paqueta before slipping in Richarlison who slotted the ball past Kim Seung-Gyu in the South Korea goal.

A moment to savour for the Chelsea central defender, who continues to prove why he is still one of the best defenders in the world, even in the 20th year of his professional career.
