One ranked lightweight fighter may have talked himself into a bout after making a hilarious suggestion for the UFC 300 main event.

Renato Moicano is coming off a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Drew Dober at UFC Vegas 85 last weekend, and once again his colorful work on the microphone arguably attracted more attention than his performance in the cage.

Moicano later took to social media and suggested that Dober should take on Pimblett next, and when “The Baddy” responded it allowed the Brazilian to make a hilarious suggestion for the UFC 300 headliner.

UFC 300 is still in need of a main event, but unsurprisingly it appears that Moicano’s suggestion was a sarcastic one and he’d be more than happy to take on Pimblett himself.

Perhaps the biggest unranked-name on the UFC roster, “The Baddy” is 5-0 since he made the jump to the UFC from Cage Warriors in 2021 and most recently handed former interim titleholder Tony Ferguson his seventh-straight loss at UFC 296.

A matchup with Moicano would finally give Pimblett a chance to break into the lightweight Top 15, and the two men would almost certainly engage in all kinds of pre-fight trash talk that would help build fan anticipation for the bout.
