The UFC finally returned home after several weeks on the road for another exciting Fight Night event on August 12 that took place at the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The night’s main event was an all-Brazilian affair featuring top welterweight contenders Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos.

“The Silent Assassin” entered the evening looking to snap the first two-fight losing streak of his career, and he was able to stifle dos Anjos' attempts to grapple as well as land his own takedowns in order to win a clear unanimous decision.

The co-main event was a featherweight matchup between divisional mainstay Cub Swanson and Hakeem Dawodu, who was on an impressive five-fight win streak before going 1-2 over his last three bouts.

Swanson was coming off a one-fight stint in the bantamweight division and looked good in his return to featherweight, however even he appeared to be shocked when it was announced that he'd won a unanimous decision over Dawodu.

The main card also included Khalil Rountree giving Chris Daukaus a brutal welcome to the light heavyweight division when he knocked the former heavyweight out in the first round.

The night's prelims didn't see any of the seven scheduled fights go the distance, and after Rountree's knockout on the main card the event also tied a UFC record for first-round finishes.
