Joe Pyfer has had enough of his critics.
The unranked UFC Middleweight returns to headline his first-ever UFC event on February 10, when he takes on Jack Hermansson at UFC Vegas 86.
Prior to the biggest fight of his career, Pyfer apparently landed the biggest punch in history. That's right, according to Joe Rogan and Sean Brady, 'Bodybagz' broke Francis Ngannou's high score of 941 on a punch machine.
Unfortunately, Pyfer's strike wasn't registered to have broken the record for some odd reason.
Of course, some fans have found it hard to believe that Pyfer is more powerful than the lineal MMA heavyweight champion of the world.
"This s*** pisses me off," Pyfer said at the UFC Vegas 86 media day. "I hit the f****** machine, the same machine, and I hit it with a 16 ounce glove. For all these nerds out there that don't understand science, I hit it with a 16 ounce glove. That means I didn't even get to hit it as hard as I could because I had I had a big pad."
"So, I broke the record with a big glove. I broke it 4 or 5 times. I broke it in front of the operations guy. There was a heavyweight from Brazil that was hitting it. Couldn't even come close to it. His coach hit it, couldn't come close to it. Brendan Allen's coach, Tuco [George Tokkos] hit it, didn't come close to it."
Pyfer, 27, doesn't understand why his insane punching power is being counted out.
"They didn't wanna give it to me officially. I don't know why," Pyfer continued in his rant. Then, everybody makes this narrative about talking about f****** oiling up Dana's ass and s***, that it's like Dana White trying to take out Ngannou."
Don't get it twisted, this isn't Pyfer trying to take a shot at Ngannou, who left the UFC on his own terms in 2023. The proven knockout artist just wants the credit that comes with holding the world record.
"Bro, I got nothing for nothing but respect for anybody that's ever stepped in this cage, that has ever done something to change their life. [Ngannou] comes from the slumps. You hear these stories all the time. You got people like Charles Oliveira, Francis Ngannou. I mean, for f*** sakes, even my teammate Andre who's had his own [problems] like, we've all come from struggles to be something, and then I get discredited because I hit harder."
"S*** pisses me off," Pyfer added. "F*** those nerds whoever told me that I didn't get that f****** score. I'll do it again. And just to say this, I had a torn rotator cuff when I hit it, and then I had to stop because I hurt myself. F*** those nerds."
Pyfer will look to showcase just how powerful he is once more when he takes on Hermansson this Saturday.
