Virna Jandiroba was not messing around early in her strawweight bout against Felice Herrig during UFC 252 in Las Vegas Saturday evening.

Less than two minutes in Round 1, the Brazilian submitted her opponent with a filthy armbar. Check this out in all of its glory.

Boasting a record of 15-1 in her career with the sole loss coming to Carla Esparza last April, Jandiroba wanted to make a statement on the biggest stage she’s ever been given. She did just that in taking out the 15th-ranked fighter in the division.

For Herrig, this represents her third consecutive loss. Her last bout resulted in a losing decision to Michelle Waterson during UFC 229 back in October of 2018.

The expectation now is that Jandiroba will be ranked moving forward and could see a bout against a top-10 opponent next time she takes to the Octagon.
