Dana White, Conor McGregor 'have not talked about fighting'

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor has kept himself busy during the coronavirus pandemic with the help of social media.

The outspoken Irishman has agreed to fight boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya, blasted UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, teased a July return to the octagon, and, most recently, hyped a potential bout with UFC icon Anderson Silva.

One thing McGregor hasn't done is officially discuss plans with UFC boss Dana White.

On Thursday, White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto that he and McGregor haven't yet spoken about the former champ's next fight:

"Conor and I have not talked about fighting. If you're Conor, sitting at home, everybody is calling you out, in every weight division. Who's next? I'm waiting for [heavyweight Daniel Cormier] to call him out, you know? Conor, his personality, he's going to respond to that.

"I think what Conor needs to do is sit back and let these fights start rolling out. Obviously, the most important division is the 155-pound [lightweight] division. See what plays out."

Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently in Russia tending to his father, who underwent heart surgery after coming down with the coronavirus. Earlier this month, White said the unbeaten Nurmagomedov will defend his title versus Gaethje on the UFC Fight Island.

While speaking with ESPN for a piece published on Tuesday, welterweight champion Kamaru Usman called McGregor out for a possible July title fight:

"I will sign a contract with Conor McGregor. We'll put it in the contract, first or second round, I won't take you down. Yeah, if I want you down, there's no ifs, ands or buts about it. But if I want to stand up with you, I will. Am I going to try to knock Conor McGregor out? Absolutely. I'm going to try to knock his head off his F'ing shoulders."
