Former star who shared the cage with Nick Diaz went on an x-rated rant about the UFC after finding out Diaz planned to return last year.

After a topsy-turvy tenure in the UFC, Nick Diaz is still widely regarded as one of the biggest stars to have competed in the promotion over the years.

The Stockton fighter’s career has been full of controversy and because of that, he constantly found himself in the headlines.

And that continued last year when it was shockingly announced that Diaz was returning to the UFC to take on Vicente Luque after three years out of the cage.

Former star who beat Diaz finds out about planned return

Ahead of his planned return at UFC 310, an extremely concerning video of Diaz surfaced online which immediately had fans worried about his return.

Shortly after the video gained traction online, news broke that the former UFC star was out of his UFC 310 fight, which left fans wondering what type of condition he was in.

Fortunately, though, one of Diaz’s teammates provided a positive update a few months later, stating that the 42-year-old is ‘healthy and doing good’.

Although Diaz’s comeback was a huge talking point in the sport, his former opponent Karo Parisyan had no idea he was scheduled to return last year, and after finding out about it, the Armenian fighter was left seething.

“He was fighting who?” Parisyan asked during the recent episode of the Jaxxon Podcast.

“When, when was this? Nick? In the UFC? I didn’t even know about it. Why would he go and fight? Nick’s not fighting because he wants to fight at this time, I think he’s probably fighting because he needs to fight.

“That’s the problem and I don’t wanna get into it because at that time in the UFC it was building, the UFC were building that s— company, dude.

“What the f—, who had the Ultimate Fighter, or Dana White’s Contender Series, there’s opportunities for anybody to go and get in the f—— UFC, we didn’t have that s—, it was word of mouth,” Parisyan went on.

Parisyan picked up shock win over Diaz in 2004

In 2004 at UFC 46, Parisyan met Georges St-Pierre in the Octagon where he was beaten by a unanimous decision.

After that defeat, he went on a four fight win streak, with one of his wins coming against Diaz at UFC 49 when he picked up the narrow split decision win.
