MMA Fighter shot Five Times in attack caught on camera

According to MMA Weekly, an undefeated MMA fighter was attacked in Dagestan, Russia. The attempted murder was caught on camera.

In shocking, caught on camera attack, undefeated MMA fighter Timur Khizriev was shot five times during an unprovoked attack.

Timur Khizriev is one of MMA’s rising stars with over a decade’s worth of experience, the fighter has been on the grind for some time.

Khizriev’s biggest win came during the PFL championships in 2024. He was able to earn a unanimous decision victory over former PFL Championships winner Brendan Loughnane on his way to being crowned the 2024 featherweight world champion.

That battle is slight compared to the situation Khizriev is dealing with now. It is being alleged that he was targeted.

He was shot in the back by two intruders as he was unloading his car. The first bullet hit the fighter unknowingly. He was able to take down one man before the accomplice fired several more shots.

Timur Khizriev ran as far as he could before the physical harm he sustained slowed him down.

According to an MMA Newspaper in Russia, Khizriev is still alive.

“In Makhachkala, PFL champion Timur Khizriev was shot,” The post claimed. “Two masked men ambushed Timur in the courtyard of a residential building on Daniyalov Street.”

“When he got out of the [vehicle], the attackers opened fire. The athlete was hit by 5 bullets from a traumatic pistol. Khizriev is in surgery, alive.”

It is being rumored that he could possibly make the jump from the PFL to UFC.
