For the first time in a decade New Orleans will host a UFC event on Saturday.
The pay-per-view fight card takes place at Smoothie King Center and is headlined by a lightweight bout for the symbolic 'BMF' title between titleholder Max Holloway and former interim lightweight champ Dustin Poirier. The bout is a trilogy match and Poirier's final fight.
Poirier, a Louisiana native, holds two wins over the former featherweight champion and plans to make it a clean sweep. Holloway has made it a mission to not lose a third fight to "The Diamond."
