Rob Herring was hit with a brutal tackle by France’s Uini Atonio and fans are outraged that he only received a yellow card.

Ireland is currently leading France at the Aviva Stadium in a game many believe will be the Six Nations title decider.

The first half was incredibly intense with some moments of magic from both sides, especially Ireland’s James Lowe, who snuck in an amazing try.

But in the 26th minute, Herring was hit in the jaw by a tackle from Atonio who was subsequently shown a yellow card and sent to the sin bin.

Fans took to Twitter to vent their outrage at the decision claiming that it should have been red.
