It’s been six years since Danica Patrick ended her racing career after becoming one of the most successful female racers in both NASCAR and IndyCar. But even after her retirement, she often finds herself in the limelight due to her controversial statements or her punditry gigs in F1 or the IndyCar Series.

During her time in NASCAR, Danica Patrick had some high-profile run-ins, and it is a major reason for some fans still having animosity towards the racer. While she has moved on or sorted out issues with majority of these racers, she still holds grudge words one racer. 2017 Cup champion Martin Truex Jr. is the driver in question.

According to Patrick, the JGR driver who is known for his cleanest racing style, has always been over aggressive racing him. She told ex-NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace via his YouTube channel that the TRD driver was very disrespectful racing him and claimed that he has even tried to get her loose while lapping her on the track.

I just ended up feeling like on track he was just such a d*** when he didn’t need to be. He would drive way too close when he was lapping me and get me loose. It’s just stupid stuff like that Where you just seem very disrespectful and unnecessarily aggressive. Danica Patrick told Kenny Wallace.

This grudge she still has over their past might be the reason for Danica Patrick’s bold statements about Martin Truex Jr. after the death of Sherry Pollex, the ex-Girlfriend of the JGR driver. Patrick was very critical of the way the No:19 treated his partner over the years.
